Typography
Typography is central to how Airship communicates. Our type system pairs a bold display typeface with a clean, readable body font to balance personality with professionalism.
Display — NewBlack Typeface
NewBlack is our primary display typeface, used for headings, titles, and hero text. Its geometric, modern character reflects our technical precision and bold approach.
Body — Archivo
Archivo is our primary body typeface. Its clean, grotesque style pairs well with NewBlack and ensures excellent readability across all sizes and screens.
Supporting Typefaces
These fonts serve specific roles within the design system. Use them only for their designated purposes.

Typography Rules
- NewBlack is exclusively for display text (headings, titles, hero text). Never use it for body copy.
- Archivo is the default body font. Use it for all paragraphs, descriptions, navigation, and UI text.
- DM Sans is reserved for buttons and CTAs. Do not use it for headings or body text.
- Barlow is used for eyebrow labels and uppercase metadata. It should always be set in uppercase with letter-spacing.
- When licensed fonts (NewBlack, PP Neue Montreal) are unavailable, fall back to system sans-serif.
- Maintain the established type scale. Do not introduce arbitrary sizes outside the defined tokens.
